Increasing appreciation
This is a good meditation if you are stuck in feeling negative. It asks you to use your own will power to turn around your mental state, as increasing appreciation for the gifts around you will directly contradict stuck depressed feelings. It will also help you build your own mental strength to gain control of your mind. Focusing on the positive will help you feel more positive and empowered.
Notice the gifts in life. For example:
- A sunny day
- A beautiful view
- The fertile earth
- Colour
- Birds singing
- Fresh air
- Clean water
- The love you feel for your children
There is beauty and opportunity all around if we open our eyes to it and let it in.
